Beach Party at NRH2O this Sat from 6-8:30.

• We still have tickets for sale. You can purchase at the door for $10 each or get them from committee members. Call 817.581.0719 for more details.
• New items have been added to the auction. Go to http://www.rhsebay.com to view them. Lots of great things. The highest bid online will be the starting bid Saturday night. Some bidders online have entered maximum bids for items. Those amounts do not show. If they are higher than the amount bid Saturday night, then the online person wins the bid.
• If you signed up to bring a dessert, take them to Mary or bring to NRH2O at 4pm on Sat.
• If you signed up to work the Beach Party make sure you bought a dinner ticket. When it is time for your shift just sign in at the check in table. We will rotate out volunteers so you don’t have to work the entire event. Set up starts at 4pm. We still need volunteers to help serve food and work in the auction. You can sign up to work one hour shifts.
• We will have tables set up with for other fundraisers for Project Celebration, volunteer sign up for Project Celebration and additional t shirts for sale.

Senior Parent T Shirts

• If you ordered a lifeguard t shirt, we will have them Saturday. Volunteers are wearing them at the beach party and at Project Celebration. If you didn’t prepay for one you can order a shirt at the party.

Thur March 13 at 7pm at RHS

This is an informational meeting about upcoming dates and events for seniors. Afterwards there will be a short auction committee meeting if you are on the committee.

Beach Party tickets will be on sale at the meeting for $10 each.

We are seeking all kinds of talent for the first NRH Idol contest. You can sing, play an instrument do a skit or comedy routine. You name it (as long as we approve it). To make it fair, the audience gets to vote. Each person that purchases a ticket for the Beach Party gets one vote. The contest is at the Beach Party March 29. If you want to sign up call Cheryl at 817.581.0719 or email webmaster@cspublications.com. There is no charge to sign up you just have to buy your dinner. And that gives you one vote.

So sign up today and tell your friends to come to Beach Party so they can vote for you.

In keeping with our theme of Bay Watch and beach, we are launching RHS E-bay, our on-line auction. Lots of great things are being added daily. We still can use donations though so send us any you can get.

Ms. Kennedy is holding a meeting for all senior parents on Thur. March 13 at 7pm in the auditorium. She will be telling us of upcoming things and what to expect. More information to come.

Beach PartySat. March 29 at NRH2O    6-9pm 

Here are areas where we need items or manpower. Next to each item is the amount of casino dollars you get for your senior. Junior parents and juniors can help and their dollars carry over. Working at the event is $1250 casino dollars for every hour worked. 

Tickets  ($1000 casino dollars for every 10 tickets you sell)Get with me if you can help sell tickets. You take a block and sell to anyone. Just sell on your own.  Each person signs out for a block of tickets or two blocks of tickets. 10 tickets per block. 

Auction Items (Casino dollars – 10 times the retail price of item)If you get any auction items please get to me asap with who donated it and suggested retail price. I am photographing the items and putting them on the web as I get them. It gives us more of a chance to make money if we have the items online for auction. The online auction is linked from the www.rhsprojectcelebration web site. 

Dessert (bake an item and enter it - $500 casino dollars) (chair this $5000 casino dollars)Mary DeFelice has taken on the dessert portion. Yea Mary. She is getting donations and I believe is going to have a dessert cook off for seniors and parents. She will get us more details soon. 

Entertainment (chair this - $5000 casino dollars)Still looking for entertainment. Does anyone want to take charge of this? We need to fill about an hour and half with different acts. 

Classic Car Show  (chair this - $5000 casino dollars)Looks like we might have a classic car show the day of the event at NRH2o. Carrie Strickland is working on getting the cars. NRH2o has said we can have the cars out there in the afternoon and then during our dinner. This will draw attention. The car owners will make donations to Project Celebration for showing their cars. Probably would start this about 3 or 4 and go until 8 

Publicity  (chair this $5000 casino dollars)Geneva Dockery is painting sandwich board signs that will go up around the school this week. This will help promote the event. Mark Thomas is putting info in press releases. They are making announcements at school. Posters are up at school. They are putting it on the sign. Would be great if we had signs to go in yards promoting it but we don’t have the funds. Anyone wanting to help in this area let me know. 

Set up/Clean up ($1250 casino dollars for each hour worked)We will start setting up at 4pm. The auction will be in the catering building. The tables and chairs in the pavilion will be set up by the park. We will need runners to bring food to serving tables, need people to do the serving tables (we will put the things on the burgers for them), need people to serve desserts, need people at drink station, need people to help with check in, need people to help with silent auction tables. Event closes at 8:30 then we do cash out of silent auction. Clean up of everything can start when we are cashing people out for silent auction. 

Things are starting to shape up. Major things are sell tickets and get auction items.
